Good evening guys. I hope you are fine. I have a small problem. I got a Kanguru Livre XL SIM in-store at No's Guia. It worked great for the small period (1 day). It ran out today and I have had trouble recharging/topping it up. The issue seems to be that when I add the telephone number, my full name and email then hit validate the SMS is sent but it does not arrive for me to add the six digits. I tried multiple devices (including router)

 

Now I am stuck with no internet via mobile. Basically I cannot log into nos app or website because it always asks for the 6 digit SMS code which does not arrive. 

 

I would appreciate some help guys

Hello Jorge, thanks for your comment. When I set the SIM up in my phone I received the SMS without issue. It worked great as soon as I inserted it. My phone is unlocked (Google pixel 4a 5G). After the SIM stopped working today (because the 24 hours where finished) I tried it in the unlocked router and my partners Samsung which is also unlocked. I am unsure what to do now. I think I will visit a Nos store tomorrow and see if I can get it recharged. Maybe with hope get it transferred to eSim for my future travels back to Portugal in a few weeks.

Thank you Jorge, that was my next option as I our family have a multibanco account. I am in contact with Nos via messenger they are looking into it. The simcard is possibly blocked. Hopefully they can unlock it and I can recharge. 

 


Sorry one more thing if you can help @Jorge C I've finally been able to access my account via a Nos staff member on Facebook messager. Now I need to top-up the SIM card. My issue is I see the recharge deal online €15 unlimited for 8 days but I do not know how to pay that via credit card?

Through your homebanking app or in the Multibanco network, choose to pay the service as you would for a pre-paid cellphone.

Hello guys and once again thanks for the replies. After some help with a Nos staff member I was able to get the data SIM working. I made the mistake of using the data SIM number as the number when I signed up instead of using the family Portuguese mobile number. So that was the reason I was unable to get into my account. Once that was sorted the only issue was to recharge which I couldn't figure out. Tried at the ATM unsuccessful but in the end using this link nos.pt/recarga I was able to top up the €15 for the 8 day unlimited data. Here is what they showed me.

 

The €15 top-up equals to 8 days of service automatically, Ciaran.

Here's the top-up scheme:

- €15 for 8 days;

- €20 for 15 days;

- €40 for 30 days.

 

Now I have internet access. Thanks alot for all the help here guys. We can call this thread closed.
