How to buy public IP?

Hello,

I’d like to purchase a public IP for my fixed internet. How do I do this with NOS? In a loja they were confused and were even unaware if NOS sells public IPs.

Hello @Yuri G,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

A public IP is not something we “sell” directly like a product.

As a service provider, we provide internet connectivity and the public IP is assigned by the internet operator/network provider as part of the service.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you

Hi Joao,

To be honest, your answer confused me a lot. I bought internet service from you and see no other company in the agreement, that is responsible for the internet. Wherever I lived, it was always under control of a network provider to issue a public IP. Moreover, from your answer I can’t understand what I can do further to get a fixed IP. This forum mentions that it is possible to buy, but no advice on “how to”.

Hello @Yuri G,

Thank you for your feedback.

From your clarification, we understand you want a fixed public IP. We do provide a fixed public ip for NOS Empresas services. You can check more information regarding this here.

This service as a cost o €20/month and its only available for companies.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you

Thanks Joao,

The restriction is a bit arbitrary. Physical persons also need a fixed IP for example to reach their smart house devices outside when in a travel. Please reconsider.

Its company policy, no can do

policies change if there is a reason. As a physical person, I had public IPs in other countries. There is nothing logically that restricts people from buying such a service. Maybe I have to change the provider.
