I am posting this to highlight a critical stability issue I've identified with the Giga Router 6.0 FTTH (Sagemcom F@st 5670), and to request an escalation to the NOS Engineering team.
After setting up network monitoring to diagnose recurring dropouts on my line, I found a highly reproducible memory leak in the current firmware version SGFc12000059. This leak causes the internal DHCP server and routing logic (Layer 3) to crash completely after a few hours of uptime.
The exact symptoms:
- Memory Leak: RAM usage steadily climbs from ~70% to >90% within just a few hours
- CPU Runaway: Once RAM hits the critical 90%+ mark, CPU spikes, and the routing stack hangs. Layer 1 (Physical LAN ports) remains UP at 1 Gbps, which masks the logical failure
- Sagemcom CSIRT Feedback: I have already reported these exact metrics to Sagemcom’s CSIRT (Security & Engineering). They acknowledged the bug and forwarded it to their development team, but instructed me that NOS, as the ISP, must handle the direct support and firmware deployment
To the NOS Staff / Moderators: Since this bug heavily affects service stability, could you please escalate this ticket to your Level 3 Network Engineering team?
Furthermore, in accordance with the GPLv2/v3 licensing obligations for the embedded components on this router (Linux Kernel, BusyBox, etc.), how can I formally request access to the GPL source code associated with this specific firmware build, or get access to a patched binary image to verify the fix?
I have attached the router's memory metrics and my terminal logs demonstrating the crash.
