I have been using my regular nos connection for streaming netflix contents but I have been getting obscured and low resolution of stream on any stream from netflix and it is consistent. Anyone having such problem as mine?

Hello @EIBAD

Do you have your Smart TV connected via wireless or network cable?

Thank you

It is connected via Wi-Fi.

Can you try use it through cable?

What would be the reason for it. I do like watching on my iPad in my bed before falling asleep. Apparently, my preference would not go with such old wired like things. Yet, it isn't demonstrating that NOS is capable of streaming Netflix ever.

Hello! Maybe this will help understand what's happening!

Thanks, have a nice day!

Netflix and Youtube reduced the bandwidth to preserve the network quality...

Due to the coronavirus, the portuguese  government has decided yesterday to allow operators to rate limit the network traffic. Concerning NOS-Netflix servers, this limite is more or less 7 Mbps in some areas. In other areas, there are no restrictions. It depends on many factors - proximity to the hospitals. Hospitals with NOS contract have higher priority, according to the law.

Well, if that gets true then there should be a compensation to make up this flaw and loss of proper data flow.

Of course you are free to ask them for compensation: https://www.nos.pt/particulares/contactos/Pages/contacte-nos.aspx

There is an option to write an email if you click on “duvidas sobre a minha fatura”. Then you can change the subject.

I don’t really know if you can request NOS to “not apply this policy” for your specific case. You can add that too.
