Cancelation of services as working abroad

Good day,

 

On Friday, 27th of December I handed in the termination of contract at your Norte Shopping branch in Porto. 
 

I was told I would receive a cancellation email, but I have still not received it. 
 

As I explained to the staff at the store, I cannot complete the contract as I have left Portugal to work oversees. I also provided the staff with a copy of my work visa as proof. 
 

As I have already left the country, I have left the router and everything else that came with the contract with a friend of mine who is waiting for confirmation of the cancellation so he can take the goods to the store. This is also what the staff said to him when he tried taking the things to cancel the contract.
