I bought a new phone from Nos and I have to move my eSim form old to new one. NOS doesn’t allow this?!? I went yesterday to the shop and they told me that they need my passport ( I explained that it’s expired already ) Instead I have ID card ( EU citizen ) which I use to travel across EU without any issues , I have bank account in Portugal with this card and etc. .. but no NOS doesn’t accept this document, They asked me to call customer support , I call and surprise Customer support told me that I have to go to store ?!? So I’m confused , I was in the store now I have to go again and probably with the same answer we can’t help you. So dear NOS who can help me ?! I’m paying my service and I just want to move my eSIM from one device to another using my EU identification card , pretty standard service . Where to go and what to do ?

(Sorry for writing in English )

Hello @Georgi Komsiyski,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You can use the same QR Code form your current eSIM, up to 5 times, to activate it in the new smartphone. Just remember to first remove the eSIM from your current smartphone.

If for some reason you lost the QR Code for your eSIM, you need to ask for a duplicate of the original at any NOS Store.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you

Hi @João H.  ,
thanks for your replay , I’m just afraid to delete the eSIM from old phone as if the procedure not succeeded I will not be able to use my phone number at all. If this happen I will not be able to issue new eSIM or at least till my passport is not re-issued (this will take more then month ).
I tried with “airplane mode” on old and activate to new phone eSIM  but as expected no success.

Hello @Georgi Komsiyski,

Thank you for your feedback,

If you have the QR code in your possession, you can ativate the eSIM in the new device. Do you still have the QR code?
For that you need to remove the eSIM from the configurations of the previous device, as this is the only way of activating the new one.

We’ll only need document verification to provide you with a duplicate of the original QR code.

You can learn more about the eSIM through our article:

Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you
