Hello!

It seems that I’ve been lied to by NOS sales.

My wife and I have recently moved in to Portugal and used Vodafone prepaid sim cards for about a month. About a week ago we’ve managed to long-term rent a place for us to live and have signed the contract with NOS for home internet.

So, this week we needed to change our mobile plans and decided to move my phone number to NOS, and get another sim card for my wife. Today we went to NOS shop in Armazéns do Chiado. I’ve asked to transfer my number from Vodafone and another sim card for my wife.

Everything went fine, but then we came home and I’ve logged in to my client area on NOS website.

I saw 5 phone numbers attached to my home internet account. None of those were my current number, but I guess that’s OK because it hasn’t been transfered yet.

Where did other phone numbers come from? We were only given two sim cards by sales managers. How do I cancel?

I googled a bit and found another post here about two months ago about the same problem:

Tomorrow I will try to call customer support, even though I don’t really anticipate any real help over there.

This is completely inappropriate and unprofessional.

Yes, its abusive, possibly you got some seller that had some goal to archive and a foreign was easy target to them. Its a headache no one needs when arriving in Portugal and its not supposed to happen.
My best advise is to use online complaint book explaining which ones are yours and which ones are to remove from your account.
In a very long shot it can happen that one of your numbers where used ( and abandoned ) before and it got connected to some old account. ( Its a very long shot, like you, I believe it was some seller trying to make his day ).

Hello. I'm sorry to hear that. Please be advised that if one of the numbers starts with the number “2”. That's your land line. Not a mobile number. That number comes bundled with your home contract

No, there are five numbers, all of them start with 9s, and the landline is separate from them.

Thanks for the advice on the complaint book, will try it!
