Well, just measured my internet download speed, and the thing is around 20 Mbps / sec, instead of the 500 Mbps “promissed”. Well, I imagined that this would happens after a few months (the decrease in speed after the initial “wow”). Seems to me that this is a common practice worldwide in “cheap and inferior” internet providers, just a big lie. They rely on the notion that just few customers will botter with the lie they tell because few people perceive that.

I know this is not a problem that anyone can solve, so I’m just adding a complaint here so people can find this and think about other options before fall in the NOS trap.

Do it here: https://www.nos.pt/particulares/internet/internet-fixa/Paginas/teste-de-velocidades_App.aspx  To be sure that there is no unconfiguration on the Router other than rebooting, you should also RESET to have the Router reset to its original settings.


Call 16990. They will ask you to do a speedtest. you will do it. They will send a technician to your house to fix the situation.
